The “Team Randy” fundraiser had two versions circulating this month. They were not the same. The WASP provides clarity.

When the WV WASP first reported on the “Team Randy” Senate fundraiser earlier in September, we noted something that caught the attention of the political class in Charleston: the list of candidates on the flyer did not match the official Senate Republican Caucus fundraiser list that followed. Several senators appeared on one list but not the other. We reported that a source told us Sen. Jay Taylor, not Randy Smith directly, was behind the earlier, more exclusive list.
