On election night in May, after losing his Republican primary by 26 points, Scot Heckert said something worth remembering.
“I set out two years ago to show the state of West Virginia what the Morriseys were like,” he told the News and Sentinel, “and I’ve done just that.”
He called it the dirtiest campaigning he had ever seen. He said he might run for the House again. His grandchildren told him they were disappointed he lost, but that they were getting Papaw back.
As of this week, Papaw may not be done.
